what case is it
yeweijia 2019-11-18 22:39 | what case is it 'sprawdzić prognozę pogody' isnt it narzędnik? if so,why pogody not pogodą |
stimppax 2019-11-19 08:28 | The verb sprawdzić takes accusative (biernik), therefore prognoza -> prognozę Prognoza pogody means "weather report" or, literally, "report of (the) weather" where the second noun is in the genitive (dopełniacz ). (The adjective would be pogodowy but I don't think you would say prognoza pogodowa* in Polish, but if you did it would be sprawdzić prognozę pogodową*- we'd need a Pole to tell us if this is possible) So it means "to check the report (Acc) of the weather (Gen)" I think. |
yeweijia 2019-11-28 23:57 | Thank you for explanation. I didn't know that when you use two nouns and the second one should be dopełniacz .anyway I didnt even recognize ' pogoda'was noun:) thanks a lot |
AFtest 2019-12-09 18:31 | Hello, a Pole and a teacher here - there is no such a phrase as "prognoza pogodowa" (although it would be grammatically correct). BTW I'm impressed by your explanation, Stimppax. |
