Über mich

I have been a Polish language teacher for over twenty years. I was born and educated in Poland but I currently live in the United Kingdom, where I work in the education sector. Polish is my mother tongue but I am also fluent in English language.
Privately, I am a mother of three boys and a passionate mountain hiker. I am also interested in personal development and Christian spirituality. Teaching is my true passion, bringing me great joy and satisfaction.

Ausbildung und Erfahrung

I completed my master’s degree in Polish Philology with a specialization in teaching Polish at the Jagiellonian University in Krakow. I worked for several months in a Polish primary school before emigrating to the United Kingdom, where for many years I gained experience teaching the Polish language as well as Polish culture and history in Polish Saturday Schools. Since teaching Polish has always been my passion, and because I also enjoy expanding my own knowledge and skills, I have completed several professional development courses in teaching Polish as a foreign language.

In addition to working in Polish Saturday Schools, I also taught Polish as a foreign language to adults in British language schools. Currently, alongside teaching Polish online, I work in a British primary school. I hold full teaching qualifications in the United Kingdom, known as Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).

Lehrmethoden

In my teaching practice of Polish as a foreign language, I prefer the communicative approach, which focuses primarily on communication and speaking a lot. At the same time, I develop other communication skills such as listening, reading, and writing.
During lessons, I use the textbook ‘Polski, krok po kroku’, as well as create my own teaching materials, especially for beginner students. I adapt my lessons to the needs of my students and make every effort to ensure they take place in a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere :)
