Über mich

My name is Malwina Cieciora. I was born in Kraków and now I live close to this beautiful city. I always knew that I want to be a teacher. At first I had planned to teach kids at school, but later on an idea of teaching polish as a foreign language came to my mind. Today, I manage to do both: I work as a teacher in a public school, and I teach Polish to foreigners. Thanks to this, I find myself more and more delighted with this language.

What do I do in my free time? I love travelling and getting to know the new places. I like cycling and Mountain hiking.

Ausbildung und Erfahrung

I graduated from the Jagiellonian University with two faculties in Polish Studies: one in school teaching and the other in teaching Polish as a foreign language. Over the past seven years I have gained experience in teaching in Poland and abroad. While being a student, I spent a few months in France, when I had a chance to teach at Ecole Nova Polska in Paris. Later on, I cooperated with the School of Polish Language and Culture of the Jagiellonian University and Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski University in Kraków. For several years now I have been working with Glossa Language School in Kraków. My experience includes traditional, as well as online teaching, both individually and in groups.

At the same time I teach Polish in a public school. My students are children between the age of 10 and 14. On average, my lessons with them cover the topics of literature and grammar. I also prepare them for exams they need to pass to graduate from basic school.

Lehrmethoden

During my lessons I put emphasis on learning crucial skills of listening, writing, reading and speaking, with the last one of these qualifications being of vital importance for me. I focus especially on speaking skills, as I believe that even an insignificant impulse, such as a curiosity or a quote, could lead to having an interesting conversation in Polish with my students.

At the same time I remain open to student's opinions, remarks and to-date experience with the Polish language, as I always try to adjust my teaching program to individual needs and requirements.
