I know there are shortcuts for Polish characters, but they don't seem to work in my Microsoft Windows 2007. There is also a website where you can type using Polish characters and then copy and paste, but using it would be too much bother while translating long texts. Would buying a Polish keyboard be a solution? How do professional translators cope with this problem? Please, help. |

The one I have loaded is Polish Programmers Keyboard. When wanting to type you need to change to the poliosh keybord To type the non UK characters you use. alt gr + c = ć alt-gr + e = ę alt |

You say that it doesn't work in Microsoft Windows 2007. There isn't a Microsoft Windows 2007. Did you mean Microsoft Windows 7 or Microsoft Ofiice 2007? To type the polish chracters within windows you need install: - Polski Language pack - Polish keyboard (I'm using Polish (Programmers) QWERTY). I use different language keyboard on only one laptop (only one fisical keyboard) with Windows 7 or Windows 10 it works perfectly. https://www.polskinawynos.com/?p=4881 I give you an example for polish keyboard on MAC OS - it works in similar way. To stay with the English (physical) keyboard and write in Polish, just select the Programmer's Polish Keyboard (or Polish-Pro). Then you don't have to change anything, you only need to use abbreviations for typical Polish letters. Very easy.
