COURSE DESCRIPTION:
The core strategy of this course involves a dual focus on personal practice and classroom application. The course is structured to guide participants through a personal journey of artistic discovery. Following this, teachers will learn how to adapt the techniques they’ve mastered into structured, flexible classroom activities. The ultimate goal is for participants to leave equipped with a toolkit of creative strategies and a new mindset, enabling them to foster a more supportive and emotionally intelligent learning environment.

WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
- Primary school teachers: To use art to help young students express emotions, improve focus, and make foundational learning more engaging.
- Secondary school teachers: To offer a creative break from academic pressure, helping teenagers build resilience and navigate complex emotions.
- Special education teachers: To provide an inclusive and adaptable tool for students to improve motor skills and emotional expression.
- Guidance counselors and school psychologists: To integrate a non-verbal, hands-on tool for students to process difficult emotions and develop coping strategies.
- School administrators and leadership staff: To experience the therapeutic benefits of art, enabling them to advocate for staff and student wellness.

OBJECTIVES:
- Teachers will learn fundamental sketching and painting techniques to use as a personal therapeutic practice for stress reduction.
- Participants will gain an understanding of how therapeutic art principles can be adapted for diverse classroom settings.
- Educators will develop practical skills to integrate creative and calming art exercises into their daily lessons and classroom routines.
- Teachers will be able to foster an emotionally supportive and non-judgmental environment through collaborative art projects for students.
- Participants will be able to design simple, therapeutic art activities to help students express emotions and improve focus.

COURSE OUTCOMES:
Participants will be:
