COURSE DESCRIPTION:
English as a medium for instruction Course includes developing skills as educators in an international tertiary context. Objectives of this course include learning about teaching English to an international student body, discussing and experimenting with different teaching and learning methodologies, revising correction, feedback, and assessment and applying learning to own educational context. On completion of this course, participants will have learned about and experimented with different methodologies. The goal is to find an approach that works in practice. The course offers participants the opportunity to refresh and gain additional skills in English while making contacts and experiencing the rich cultural heritage Cork has to offer.

AIMS OF THE COURSE:

- Integrating HOTs and LOTs into course design
- Developing and adapting materials and accessing resources
- Correction and assessment
- Demonstration lesson and peer feedback

- Developing and adapting materials and accessing resources
- Developing content for delivery
- Outdoor Irish Dancing
4) Thursday
- Correction and assessment
- Contextualisation of the learning experience
- Pint Night
5) Friday
- Demonstration lesson and peer feedback

- Visit to Kinsale and Charles Fort

The programme includes:
- 20 Lessons per week (1 lesson = 60 mins) plus 5 afternoon lectures and visits
- Use of all pedagogical material
- Maximum of 15 students per class
- Certificate at the end of course

Jestem zaskoczony możliwościami, jakie daje ten kurs. Uczyłem się przy pomocy programów komputerowych angielskiego, niemieckiego i hiszpańskiego i nie spodziewałbym się, iż powstanie program do nauki języka polskiego w wielu kwestiach przewyższający tamte programy. Choć uczę się dopiero od miesiąca jestem pewny, że wkrótce będę mówił po polsku!
