COURSE SUMMARY:
This course is designed to introduce non-native English speakers to the fundamental concepts and applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in various professional settings. Over five days, participants will explore the basics of AI, different AI technologies, their applications across industries, ethical considerations, and future trends. The course integrates language learning with content knowledge, ensuring participants not only understand AI but also improve their English language skills through targeted activities and exercises.

COURSE REQUIREMENTS:
Applicants must have B1 (Intermediate) level of English or above. All trainees need to bring a laptop or tablet to all sessions with a mouse and charger. Students bringing company devices must make sure that they have administrative permission in order to download the software that is an essential part of this course.

SAMPLE PROGRAMME:
1) Monday - Introduction to AI
- Content Objectives: Understand the basic concepts of AI; Identify examples of AI in daily life and the workplace.
- Language Objectives: Learn and use vocabulary related to AI (e.g., algorithm, machine learning, automation); Practice simple present tense to describe AI functions.
2) Tuesday - Technologies
- Content Objectives: Explore different AI technologies (e.g., chatbots, virtual assistants, predictive analytics).
- Language Objectives: Use comparative and superlative forms to compare AI technologies; Practice listening skills through video content; Simulate a conversation with a virtual assistant.
3) Wednesday - AI in Different Industries
- Content Objectives: Understand how AI is used in various industries (e.g., healthcare, finance, retail).
- Language Objectives: Practice using the past simple tense to describe AI developments; Enhance reading skills with industry-specific texts.
4) Thursday - Ethical Considerations and Challenges
- Content Objectives: Discuss ethical issues and challenges related to AI (e.g., privacy, job displacement).
- Language Objectives: Use modal verbs to discuss possibilities and obligations; Develop speaking skills through debates (Ethical considerations in AI; the pros and cons of AI in the workplace).
5) Friday - Future of AI and Course Review
- Content Objectives: Explore future trends in AI; Review key concepts learned during the course.
- Language Objectives: Use future tense to discuss AI trends; Practice summarizing information.

- Lessons per week: 30 lessons/week (20 Presentation + 10 Workshop)
- Lesson duration: 1 lesson = 45 minutes
- Minimum age: 21+
