COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Teachers who are speakers of English as a foreign language love to participate in training courses all over Europe – but there is a setback for them! They can survive everyday conversation in English but communication within the courses is not easy for them because they are not familiar with the related vocabulary and language skills.
This course is designed for non-English speakers who are excited to boost their English knowledge while discussing and learning about trending topics in education. It will present practical information and applicable studies for today’s educators while providing opportunities for learners to debate and share their ideas in English using the new lexis and associated terminology. Under the trainer’s supervision, participants will have space and time to learn new emerging educational concepts. They will also practice them, and share the acquired knowledge in English, and experience difficulties/obstacles.
METHODOLOGY:
On each day, the trainer will shortly present a trending topic in education (e.g., STEAM, Digital Media Literacy, Co-culture, and Flipped Education). Then, participants will be offered collaborative activities (such as shared tasks, games, information exchange, and similar in pairs and groups) to discuss and practice the day’s core topic. These activities will be tailored to the needs of participants. They will focus on the acquisition of a new lexicon, and let course participants practice individual words and make deeper connections and understanding with their peers. The trainer will promote social interaction, and encourage everyone to create a strong bond. Therefore, participants will be able to practice and grow their speaking and listening skills, hence increasing their confidence as English speakers.

SAMPLE PROGRAMME:
1) Monday – International trends in education
2) Tuesday – What is STEAM? with Language focus: verb and verb tenses;
3) Wednesday – Digital Media Literacy with Language focus: adjectives, comparative, superlative, and intensifiers;
4) Thursday – Co-culture (Collaboration, coordination, cooperation, creativity and critical thinking) with Language focus: adverbs and commenting adverbs and active listening;
5) Friday – Flipped learning with Language focus: gist reading strategy;

INNE INFORMACJE:
- Kurs skierowany jest głównie do uczestników programu Erasmus+.
- W cenie kursu zawarte zazwyczaj dwie aktywności kulturalne, w tym wycieczka całodniowa w trakcie weekendu (zazwyczaj sobota).
- Certyfikat: Aby otrzymać certyfikat po kursie, wymagane jest minimum 80% obecności na zajęciach.
- Harmonogram i rozkład zajęć: To szkoła ustala plan zajęć. Zajęcia odbywają standardowo od poniedziałku do piątku w godzinach 9:00-14:00 lub 14:00-19:00.
- Program kursu: Powyżej przedstawiony przykładowy program zajęć jest orientacyjny i może różnić się w zależności od trenera, który będzie go przeprowadzał, jak również od sugestii i próśb uczestników co do treści, które chcieliby uwzględnić w trakcie kursu. Dokładny plan zajęć wraz z harmonogramem przesyłany jest do uczestników na około tydzień-dwa przed kursem. Mail wysyłany jest przez nauczyciela prowadzącego zajęcia.
UWAGA! Dla rezerwacji na mniej niż 8 tygodni od daty rozpoczęcia kursu, szkoła zagraniczna dolicza dodatkową opłatę za późną rezerwację w kwocie 60 EUR i dolicza ją do ceny kursu!

Uczyłem się przy pomocy programów komputerowych angielskiego, niemieckiego i hiszpańskiego i nie spodziewałbym się, iż powstanie program do nauki języka polskiego w wielu kwestiach przewyższający tamte programy. Choć uczę się dopiero od miesiąca jestem pewny, że wkrótce będę mówił po polsku!
