COURSE DESCRIPTION:
Climate change and loss of biodiversity is seen as the most pressing challenge over the decade, according to the World in 2030 Survey report published by the UN Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). According to WWF ‘We are the first generation to know we’re destroying the world, and we could be the last that can do anything about it.’ The solution lies to personal responsibility but also education. In this course participants will learn how to implement practices to make their classroom, school and community aware of the environmental challenges, and more eco-friendly. The goal of this training programme is that given a number of topics to work on, the participants will experience and evaluate certain practices, but also design their own plans for incorporation in their own educational context. Teachers and Youth leaders will raise awareness in their own countries to inspire young people to become active citizens and help find solutions to the environmental crisis.

FOR WHO IS THIS COURSE FOR?
This course is tailored for educators and youth workers at all levels, including primary, secondary, and higher education, as well as professionals passionate about enviromental education and awarness.

REQUIREMENTS:
Language level: min. B1.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Participants will be able:
– to create their own action plan for the evaluation and assessment of ‘green’ practices at their schools
– to create lesson plans to help raise awareness in their classroom, school and/or community about the environmental crisis
– to learn how to inspire their students to make little lifestyle changes with a big impact
– to gain confidence in the use of technology and learn upcycling skills
– to develop skills such as critical thinking, collaboration, use of new technologies in education, creative and innovative thinking in education etc
– to develop their English language skills through interaction with a multinational group of educators
– to join a broader international team that will support their future needs in professional development

!WAŻNE!
Jeśli posiadasz grant na 6 dni kursu, możliwa jest rezerwacja tego szkolenia w wersji 6-dniowej, z certyfikatem na 30 lekcji. Szkolenie kosztuje wówczas 450 EUR, a zajęcia trwają od poniedziałku do soboty. Sobota poświęcona jest wtedy na dyskusje i podsumowanie szkolenia (w godzinach 10:00-12:00), a później możliwe jest dodatkowe, opcjonalne zwiedzanie czy wycieczki (mogą obowiązywać dodatkowe opłaty za atrakcje pozalekcyjne). Aby zarezerwować wyjazd 6-dniowy, zgłaszając się na szkolenie, proszę zaznaczyć w uwagach informację o dodatkowym dniu - w przeciwnym razie szkolenie rezerwowane jest w wersji standardowej, od poniedziałku do piątku.
