DESCRIPTION OF THE COURSE:
The course offers practical training in teaching techniques while also helping participants to improve their own language skills. Participants explore a wide range of topics including teaching methodology, exploiting and adapting materials, the increased role of technology in the language classroom, classroom management and approaches and activities for teaching all language areas and skills. Classes on Irish history, culture and the Irish educational system in addition to a full social and activity programme also form part of this intensive and dynamic course.

TARGET GROUPS:
A course for English language teachers aimed at providing practical training in the most up to date teaching techniques and improving participants language skills.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
As part of the course, you will gain an understanding of how to better integrate a wide variety of practical tasks and activities which can be put to immediate use in the classroom. A typical will include:
- Grammar and vocabulary points
- A focus on speaking
- Language and subject acquisition
- Engaging listening and reading activities
- Social and intercultural English
- Dedicated project work to support your grammar and vocabulary learning
- Daily detailed error correction for continuous improvement
- Content sharing and collaboration between other students

- Language Clinic: future forms
- Observation of experienced native teachers teaching at our school with feedback session
- Irish Educational System
4) Thursday
- Language Clinic: perfect tenses
- Teacher Training: error correction
- Games and Activities
5) Friday
- Language clinic: modal verbs
- Teacher Training: technology in the language classroom
- Guest educational lecture and sessions with questions

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
The programme includes:
- 25 hours of tuition per week
- Use of all pedagogical material
- Maximum of 15 students per class
- Certificate at the end of course

IMPORTANT! - It's possible to book this course as a 6 day course (price - 520 EUR/week). The course then includes 1 full-day excursion on Saturday.
