About me:
Hi! My name is Agnieszka, and I am a teacher of Polish as a foreign language. I live in Athlone, Ireland, but my heart is deeply connected to teaching the Polish language and Polish culture. I taught Polish at a Polish school in Ireland, which allowed me to gain valuable experience working with children from the Polish diaspora and understanding their educational needs.
I completed a course in teaching Polish as a foreign language, which helped me deepen my knowledge and pedagogical skills. Additionally, my studies in Russian philology gave me a solid foundation for working with Russian-speaking students, as I understand the specifics of this language and the challenges faced by students learning Polish.
I am passionate about foreign languages and travel, so I believe that language learning can be an exciting adventure, full of discoveries and new opportunities!

Qualifications and experience:
Master’s degree in Russian Philology – University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn.
Certificate in Teaching Polish as a Foreign Language.
I have many years of experience in teaching Polish as a foreign language and Russian. I also specialize in teaching Polish to Russian-speaking individuals. I worked at the IDEA Polish school in Athlone, and currently, I mainly conduct online lessons tailored to the individual needs of my students.
Methods of teaching
In teaching Polish as a foreign language, I use various methods tailored to the individual needs of students. My goal is to create a friendly atmosphere that fosters effective learning. I place a strong emphasis on the practical use of the language in everyday situations, so that students can communicate freely in Polish. For this reason, the communicative method is key in my teaching.
I also use multimedia materials, such as films, audio recordings, and interactive exercises, which help students better absorb vocabulary and improve pronunciation.
Thanks to these methods, learning Polish becomes not only effective but also interesting and motivating, which encourages students to actively engage in the learning process.
