Thomas 2009-10-17 13:45 | How to translate "I will do my best" Hi, It seems that I am a first one here but I have a problem with translation of the expression „I will do my best”. Could someone help me with this? |
steven73 2009-10-17 20:21 | I would say: „Zrobię to najlepiej jak potrafię”. But I am not a teacher, I have just studied Polish for a couple of years. It is a really difficult language but very beautiful. |
Thomas 2009-10-19 15:24 | Are you sure? My teacher used to translate it as „ Zrobię co w mojej mocy” or something like that. I can’t remember properly :-/ |
steven73 2009-10-21 15:25 | Tomorrow I can ask my colleague at work, he is Polish. |
skowalska1 2009-10-22 21:31 | Hi, I have just enter here and thought I could help. I mean my wife. She is Polish. Wait a minute… She sais it is difficult to translate this expression word by word and everyone can say something different but with the similar meaning. Her suggestion is “Postaram sie”. |
jane_05 2009-10-25 10:39 | I think there is no point in finding the one perfect translation of some expressions. Any of proposition you have given is good as long as it means the same. |
steven73 2009-10-27 15:40 | I’ve got it. My colleague said „ Zrobię co w mojej mocy” . This would be the best translation in his opinion. Oh, wait a sec. He thinks the same as your teacher then… |
