Polish grammar experiment, only takes 2 minutes!
katiecustard28 2015-02-11 15:57 | Polish grammar experiment, only takes 2 minutes! Hi there, I'm a linguistics student in need of help from Polish speakers! If anyone can spare 2 minutes, I would really appreciate it if you could tell me whether the following sentences are grammatical in Polish. This is a language experiment. I only need you to tell me whether the sentences are good or bad in polish. Specifically, the experiment is about the structure of possessives. I need to know whether the pronouns can belong to the named people. 1. Najnowszy film kustariki naprawdę go zawiódł. 2. Jego najnowszy film naprawdę zawiódł kustarike. 3. Papuga johna wczoraj go ugryzła. 4. Jego papuga ugryzła wczoraj johna. 5. Marka piłka uderzyła go wczoraj w głowę. 6. Jego piłka uderzyła go wczoraj w głowę. |

For example: Papuga Johna wczoraj go ugryzła (it would be better udziobała). – in this sentence „papuga” belongs to John and we don`t know if she pecked John or someone else. Jego papuga ugryzła wczoraj Johna. - in this sentence “papuga” probably belongs to someone else and for sure she pecked John. In the last pair it would be better to say: Piłka Marka...
