O mnie
I live in beautiful Seattle located in Washington state with my husband and two children. Although my husband is American my children are fluent in polish as a result of continues effort on my part i.e. speaking polish to my children, sending them to a polish language school and annual trips to Poland to visit my family. Teaching polish language, history and culture is my true passion.
Kwalifikacje i doświadczenie
I have a degree in Polish Philology and International Business from University of Gdansk. I have been a successful teacher at Polish School im. Juliusza Słowackiego in Seattle, Washington since 2005. My students range from 6 to 60+ years old. I grew up in Poland and polish is my native language. I have participated in Polish Teachers' Conventions organized every two years all over the country since 2012, which is a great platform to get the most advanced training in teaching polish language as a second language, as well as participated in webinars through polskiikropka.pl.
Metody nauczania
My typical lesson plan includes 5 parts: 1. presentation of the topic; 2. implementation of pronunciation, spelling, vocabulary and grammar; 3. exercises in listening comprehension, speaking, writing; 4. free language practice in speaking and writing; 5. Summary and feedback from students. Thus described method has brought successful results in my teaching. I use a lot language games and interactive strategies.
